All About Mrs. Schell...
I have been teaching third grade for twelve years. Seven of those years have been here at Discovery Elem. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in December of 2003. The journey of teaching has expanded my life and brought me great joy. Each year I am introduced to another wonderful group of children that I am lucky to call my students. They and their families become like extended family members to me and I enjoy connecting with them and learning all about their lives.
I am married and I have two daughters. They are twins and their names are Erika and Jennifer. Erika likes to write, direct and act in plays. She will be going off to college this Fall to study Hospitality Management and Event Planning. Jennifer also loves acting in plays and love to write plays as well. She will be going away to college to get her Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Theatre Studies.
Our family lives in the neighborhood of Discovery Elementary so you might bump into me some day in the store, a restaurant, or the library. We love to go boating, fishing, snorkeling, camping and just about anything that involves the outdoors. My favorite activity is practicing yoga at the beach!
I am very excited about this school year since I love teaching Math and Science to third graders and I love partnering with Ms. Maver. I hope to make learning exciting and fun for all my students and help them have a successful third grade year!
